The Generation of Snapchat

Snapchat is an app that allows users to send photos or videos called snaps to the people in their lives. There are so many fun features that Snapchat has to offer so I wanted to talk a little bit about each feature and ways you, as a user, can share content.

The Snapchat app has five tabs users can explore which include; camera, chat, map, stories, and spotlight. I want to dice into each tab separately and give you details on how to use them. First up I want to talk about the camera tab. The camera tab is something that is opened up directly when you log onto the app. You are able to use the camera to take photos and videos using fun lenses and creative tools that Snapchat updates consistently to share with your friends and followers. The second tab I want to talk about is the chat tab. The chat tab allows you to  send snaps to friends and groups. You can add your Bitmoji or Cameo. The chat tab is like a secondary messaging app if you are not in the mood to send a picture or video. Next up on the list of tabs Snapchat features is the map tab. The map tab allows you to tap on a hotspot to see snaps from the local community or see what's happening with friends, if they allow Snapchat to share their location. The stories tab is the next feature I want to discuss. The stories tab allows you to see pictures or videos your friends or followers post throughout the day, like fun recaps. The last tab that you are able to access on Snapchat is the spotlight feature. The spotlight icon is located in the left corner of the app where you can find the most entertaining snaps from the community and reach a larger new audience. This feature allows users to see what's trending and share originial content. Those are the five tabs users can explore on Snapchat! Now lets look into the different ways you can share content on the app.

Snapchat has multiple ways you can share your content to other users so let's look into the four different options. The first option you can use is to add your content to your own story. This option allows you to share photos and videos to your close friends (the ones who have added you back). The second option is for you to add your content to a public story. This option allows you to share content with fans, to your subscribers, and also be featured in Discover. The third option is the spotlight option that I mentioned previously in the blog. Posting snaps to spotlight allows them to share with an audience beyond friends and subscribers. This option allows you to be seen by a broader audience and gain new followers. The last option for sharing content on Snapchat is snap map. This option is a personal map to publicly share snaps and view content being created around the world.

That's it for the different features and ways you can share content on Snapchat. I hope this content was helpful for you to start your Snapchat journey. Until next time on Days of Dani!😁
