Want to Learn About Facebook Content Strategies? Check this out!

Have you ever thought further about how your company looks to consumers? Having a good Facebook strategy can help companies meet their social media marketing objectives. In chapter 4 of the reading, I learned a lot about marketing with Facebook, so I thought I'd share some of the interesting tidbits I read about! One thing I learned and I feel is important in marketing on social media in general is that bombarding followers with company product posts is not what you want to do. Users tend to get annoyed when companies constantly post on their social media about their products. A tip to help avoid annoying your user would be to incorporate some personality to your company's brand and balance that by posting about your products using content that relates to the product.

Another piece of helpful information on marketing with Facebook is what brands should and shouldn't do on social media. Chapter 4 of the reading points out multiple different do's and don'ts for companies to focus on when posting brand content. A few do's include: using video clips, responding to questions, and talking about timely events. Those do's will help to show users that your company is dedicated to their users and makes the company feel more personable. A few don'ts companies should steer away from include: making fun of customers, talking political, using slang, and making fun of competitors. When posting content on social media, many experts recommend following the social media rule of thirds. This rule states that 1/3 of content should promote the business; 1/3 of content should be shared from other businesses; and 1/3 of content should be based on personal interactions with employees, customers, and followers on social media.

I hope those tips and tricks were helpful for you as you continue to work on marketing your brand on social media. I can't wait to share what I've learned with you next week! See ya next time!
