Essentials of Social Media Marketing!

Hi everyone👋! Thanks for stopping by the blog. This will be one of the last blogs of the semester.. but I can't wait to share with you my thoughts on the course textbook! The textbook that was required for the Principles of Social Media course was called Essentials of Social Media Marketing, by Charello 📚. This online textbook allowed us to learn marketing strategies on Facebook, Instagram, X, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Youtube, and TikTok, all within 18 chapters. The first three chapters include an introduction to social media marketing, developing your personal brand, and social media marketing strategy and social media advertising tips. After the first three chapters you start to dive into the different platforms and their marketing strategies. The last seven chapters include blogs, vlogs, podcasts, and webinars, social media marketing campaigns, influencer marketing with social media, employee advocacy, social media policies and crisis response plan, social selling, and social media analytics and measuring ROI.

I found that every chapter was useful in understanding the essentials of social media marketing. A couple of the chapters that I found most interesting was chapter 2 over developing your personal brand and chapter 3 over social media marketing strategies and social media advertising. These chapters highlighted tips on how to develop your personal brand, build your personal brand online, and audit your personal brand online. They also provided information on the steps needed to create a solid social media marketing strategy which I found to be the most helpful chapter in the textbook!

Overall, I enjoyed the Essentials of Social Media Marketing textbook and I think it was a very helpful resource when studying for the exams and understanding concepts that were talked about throughout the semester. I believe that I can use the information I gained in different opportunities that I encounter in life after graduating!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today 😁! The next blog you'll read will be the last one of the semester so keep an eye out for it!
